From award-show speeches to Instagram comment sections, stars have spent the past few years dragging each other over ICE comments, endorsements, staying silent, and staying too loud. Here are 10 times celebrities turned their political opinions directly on each other.

1. Doja Cat mocked Sydney Sweeney‘s “great jeans” ad. When Sweeney’s American Eagle campaign sparked accusations of eugenics dog-whistling over its “jeans”/”genes” wordplay, Doja Cat made her stance clear on TikTok by mocking the ad’s now-infamous voiceover, mimicking Sweeney’s dramatic narration in a Southern accent while repeating the “genes are passed down from parents to offspring” line. The reaction fit into a controversy that eventually pulled in the White House itself, and it became one of the sharpest celebrity reactions to the ad.

2. Bill Maher called out George Clooney, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift for their support of Kamala Harris.
