Ex-primary school IT technician jailed 11 years for molesting 3 boys on campus

A former Hong Kong primary school IT technician has been sentenced to 11 years in jail after he admitted to repeatedly molesting three male pupils, with one of the boys still recovering from the trauma of having intercourse with the defendant.

The High Court on Friday heard that 30-year-old Law Yuen-lung had been diagnosed with paedophilic disorder, and psychologists had assessed that he had lived a lonely life with no previous dating experience, despite him denying any sexual interest in children.

Police found more than 800 pictures and eight clips containing images of child pornography in Law’s electronic devices during an investigation. Law also joined a channel on social media that was rife with underage pornography, the court heard.

The three male victims were in the fifth grade at the time and aged between 10 and 11. The first two indecent assaults involving two boys happened in March, 2024. One of the boys, identified in court by an alphabet Y, had since been molested five more times.

One time, the defendant told Y that he wanted to “connect their bodies” and have penetrative sex with him. All the incidents took place inside the Campus TV school facility, where the defendant was in charge of the studio.

The court heard that he took pictures of Y during molestation.
