Switch 2 owners of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader get all paid DLC for free

Owlcat Games has admitted that the launch of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader on Switch 2 last December was less than stellar. To fix it, a major update was released last week, promising improved visuals, enhanced performance, and fixes for the numerous bugs experienced at launch. In addition, as an apology, all Switch 2 players will receive all additional content—including story DLC— at no cost. This means that you can update to the Deluxe Edition for free. Two of the DLC packs are available now; two more will follow.

Here is a description of the game, via Owlcat Games:

In Rogue Trader, players take on the role of a scion of an ancient dynasty of daring privateers who reign over their own trade protectorate and explore the fringes of Imperial space with the blessing of the Emperor Himself. By virtue of their Warrant of Trade, the Rogue Trader is endowed with privileges and power beyond imagination, as well as the task of expanding the borders of the Imperium. A gargantuan voidship of immense strength and innumerable personnel ready to follow their leader without question is at their disposal. Show your subjects mercy or disdain, stay faithful to the Emperor or consort with the enemies of Humanity — the Rogue Trader’s every decision sends ripples across entire star systems, changing the in-game world and those who inhabit it. Rogue Trader has now sold more than two million copies.

Developed and published by Owlcat Games, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is available for PC via Steam/Epic/GOG, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch 2, Xbox Series, and Xbox One.

Fangtopia adds console versions to its plan

Cozy, relaxing puzzle game Fangtopia was first announced for PC, and last week, two other versions were announced: one for PlayStation 5 and one for Switch 2. In the game, assemble landscapes to create a paradise for friendly ghosts and ghouls. It is carefree, scare-free, and gentle. There is no time pressure, and you complete objectives to earn new landmarks and monsters.

Here are the key features, via Secret Mode:

  • Match Tiles – Place landscape hex tiles from a randomly generated stack to complete objectives and score points. Watch as your world connects into a hauntingly beautiful landscape filled with misty mountains, dark woods, snaking rivers, and charming towns with tasty little villagers… (Just kidding!)
  • Place Landmarks – Score big to unearth unique landmarks. Complete special terrain objectives to earn more tiles and expand your world. What new pieces will you uncover as you pack your spooky realm with wholesome and mysterious sights?
  • Discover Monsters – Where should the werewolf live? Which mountain cluster is just right for the yeti? There’s a world of whimsical monsters waiting to find their perfect home.

Developed by Absolutely Games and published by Secret Mod, Fangtopia will be released for PC via Steam/Epic/Stove, PlayStation 5, and Switch 2 later this year.

“Dark and cute” RPG Annihilated delayed to Q4 2026

It was only two weeks ago that I wrote about a July 22 release date for Annihilated, but the game’s publisher and developer have changed their minds about launching this month: instead, the game will launch in Q4 2026 (October to December). Annihilated combines deckbuilder roguelike gameplay with a visual novel narrative. After a Hero’s party vanishes in a dungeon, you are sent with a rescue party to save them… but you are the sole survivor. Explore deeper into the cursed dungeon to find what is left of the four broken heroes, and decide which one to bring out alive. There are four distinct character routes.

In a press release, publisher Flashlight Games explains that the extra time will be taken to refine the game’s overall feel and fine-tune the battle balance. Developer Death Kumiai states that the game could launch on July 22, but the team wouldn’t be able to play it repeatedly to fine-tune it without this additional time.

Developed by Death Kumiai and published by Flashlight Games, Annihilated will be released for PC via Steam in Q4 2026.
