Another coffee company is doing their part to keep Canyon caffeinated, with 7 Brew stepping up and adding a stand right on 23rd Street.
7 Brew Coffee Drive Thru opened their doors on June 24, and the company broke records in Lubbock and Glen Haven, Florida, for the largest crowds totaling around serving 7,000 drinks, according to Guadalupe Hernandez, Director of Stand Openings.
Hernandez comes into areas starting up new stands for training and set ups to get the process rolling smoothly in about 10 weeks.

The high-octane energy is generated by loud music and a room full of young adults caffeine fueled, which is a driving force in the success of the business, according to Hernandez.
He said that he has been with the company for three years and loves serving the people and getting the young talent started.
7 Brew has hired around 35 to 50 youths who mostly live in and around Canyon, and they work tirelessly like a hive of bees, taking orders, blending specialty coffees and drinks and making things happen. They cheer each other on and keep things moving at a fast pace, so that no one has to wait more than a few minutes to be waited on, according to Hernandez.

Inside the busy area, there are three different stations — all humming along and busy with people running in and around each other, somehow missing one other.
One group handles getting orders on laptops they carry out to vehicles and use to place customers’ orders. The business is streamlined with technology, but it depends on the human element and excitement of its staff.

The chain coffee business also hands out a lot of swag to customers, including t-shirts at their Canyon location, along with key chains holding a coffee specialty.
One of the most popular coffee choices of customers is the Blondie, which is a mixture of caramel syrup, vanilla and cream, along with espresso, according to Hernandez. Another thing that makes the chain popular are its hours, which are 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
But the other 2,000 drinks are also creative, and they include specialty items such as energy drinks, fizz sodas, teas, chai and matcha, lemonades, smoothies and shakes.
Hernandez mentioned a special drink honoring the World Cup – a Red, White & Brew with strawberry drizzle on top.

The location joins Dumas, Pampa, and Plainview in placing coffee shops in smaller Panhandle towns. Amarillo has one successful stand and could probably hold another.
Canyon also hosts a number of other coffee caches, such as The Plaza, who started the movement in early 2000s; and Journey Canyon Coffee, along with Hope Choice and Canyon Brew Barn. In the early 2000s, the only coffee shop to offer specialty coffees in the city was Hastings Books & Records, but that quickly changed when the Palace saw the need in 2011. They became the premiere server by placing their shop in the historic building on the square, where people love to meet, study, read and discuss.
The 7 Brew franchise is active in communities and becomes part of the community by partnering with a local hospital or worthy endeavor to help the city as part of its opening.
