Lee Cronin’s The Mummy currently holds the number-one spot on HBO Max’s Top 10 movies chart in the United States, according to FlixPatrol data as of July 7, 2026. The supernatural horror film has maintained its position atop the streaming platform’s rankings for two consecutive days. The film sits ahead of Undertone at number two and How to Make a Killing at number three.
Warner Bros. Pictures released Lee Cronin’s The Mummy in theaters on April 17, 2026. The film became available on digital streaming platforms on May 19, 2026. A 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD release will follow on July 14, 2026.
The horror reimagining stars Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace and Verónica Falcón. Lee Cronin wrote and directed the film, which James Wan, Jason Blum and John Keville produced. New Line Cinema, Atomic Monster, Blumhouse Productions and Wicked/Good served as production companies.
The film follows a family reunited with their long-missing, mummified daughter who realizes something sinister has taken hold of her. Lee Cronin’s The Mummy grossed $90.6 million worldwide against a $22 million production budget during its theatrical run. The film opened to $13.5 million domestically from 3,304 theaters in its opening weekend.
On Rotten Tomatoes, 47% of 187 critics’ reviews were positive, with an average rating of 5.6 out of 10. Metacritic assigned the film a score of 47 out of 100 based on 36 critics. CinemaScore audiences gave the film an average grade of C+ on an A+ to F scale. Principal photography took place in Ireland and Spain from March 24 to June 25, 2025.
