
HONG KONG – The Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) on Tuesday announced that funds raised through initial public offerings (IPOs) in the first half of 2026 were HK$210.2 billion (about $26.8 billion), up 92 percent from HK$109.4 billion during the same period last year.
Data showed that the HKEX recorded 87 new listings in the first six months of 2026, a year-on-year increase of 98 percent.

Total funds raised were HK$346.1 billion, up 22 percent from HK$284.5 billion in the same period last year.
The average daily turnover in June 2026 was HK$319.1 billion, up 39 percent year on year, while the average daily turnover for the first six months of 2026 was HK$283 billion, up 18 percent.
At the end of June, HKEX had 2,748 listed companies, with a total market capitalization of about HK$43.3 trillion.
