80 for Brady is the Tom Brady movie arriving on Netflix today. The film, released on February 3, 2023, co-stars Academy Award winners Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, Sally Field, and Emmy Award winner Lily Tomlin. The sports comedy flick follows four lifelong friends who set out on an unforgettable journey to see Tom Brady play in Super Bowl LI, witnessing one of the greatest comebacks in sports history.

Written by Sarah Haskins and Emily Halpern, the film is inspired by a real-life group of Patriots fans known as the Over 80 for Brady club. The idea was pitched by the grandson of one of the members. Made on a budget of $28 million, 80 for Brady grossed $40.4 million at the global box office despite mixed reviews.

The film also stars Billy Porter, Rob Corddry, Alex Moffat, Guy Fieri, Harry Hamlin, Bob Balaban, Glynn Turman, Sara Gilbert, Jimmy O. Yang, Ron Funches, Matt Lauria, Sally Kirkland, Andy Richter, Gus Kenworthy, Brian Jordan Alvarez, Marshawn Lynch, Patton Oswalt, Retta, and Amber Chardae Robinson. Additionally, Tom Brady’s former Patriots teammates Danny Amendola, Julian Edelman, and Rob Gronkowski make cameo appearances as themselves.

The official synopsis of 80 for Brady reads, “Four longtime friends embark on a rollicking adventure after scoring tickets to see their favorite quarterback – Tom Brady – play in the Super Bowl.” The film is co-produced by Brady, in his maiden production venture under 199 Productions, and Donna Gigliotti (Silver Linings Playbook, The Reader). Fifth Season and Watch This Ready also produced the film.
