The Baywatch reboot TV show has revealed a brief teaser trailer featuring Stephen Amell. Also starring Brooks Nader, the upcoming FOX series is based on NBC’s iconic show of the same name. It aired between 1989 and 2000 and ran for 11 seasons.
What do we see in the Baywatch reboot teaser?
The Baywatch reboot TV series’ short teaser trailer features Stephen Amell as Hobie Buchannon. In the clip, he says that being a Baywatch Captain is “the best job in the world.” In NBC’s original show, Hobie’s father, Mitch Buchanon, was the Baywatch Captain.
Not much is shown in the 14-second teaser except for glimpses of different characters. The plot follows Hobie’s life going upside down when his daughter shows an interest in taking the Buchanan legacy forward. A small teaser was also revealed last month, but it didn’t reveal anything substantial regarding its story.
Besides Amell and Nader, the Baywatch reboot TV show will also feature Jessica Belkin, Hassie Harrison, Shay Mitchell, Thaddeus LaGrone, and Noah Beck. Livvy Dunne, Nadia Gray, and Mary McDonnell will also play crucial roles.

Last month, former Baywatch stars Michael Bergin and Kelly Packard also joined the cast of the upcoming series to reprise their roles of Jack ‘J.D.’ Darius and April Giminski, respectively.
In the original show, Bergin portrayed a leading role between seasons eight and 11. Later, he also returned for a 2003 telefilm, titled Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding. Packard was a series regular between seasons eight and nine. This time, however, they are expected to feature in guest roles.
Matt Nix is the showrunner and also executive producer on the project. Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto, and Mike Horowitz will also executive produce. The reboot will continue the original NBC show’s plot.
The Baywatch reboot TV series will premiere on FOX in January 2027.
