Cara Delevingne confirmed that she and Amber Heard were more than just friends.
The 33-year-old model revealed on the Louis Theroux Podcast that they became “entangled” while Heard was going through her divorce from Johnny Depp.
“We were close for a long time,” Delevingne said. “Yeah, we were entangled, I suppose. But she was also entangled with other people.”

Though she and Heard had been friends for years, she said Depp appeared to be jealous of their bond while the three were working on the thriller “London Fields.”
“I think he was pretty driven crazy by jealousy,” she said. “Nothing was happening at that point. Later, after they divorced, it had.”
Heard and Depp married in February 2015, but their relationship quickly unraveled. Heard filed for divorce and obtained a temporary restraining order in May 2016, alleging Depp had physically abused her during their 15-month marriage. Their divorce was finalized in 2017.
In 2019, Depp sued Heard for defamation over a 2018 Washington Post essay in which she described herself as a victim of domestic abuse without naming him. In 2022, a jury awarded Depp more than $10 million in damages, while Heard won one of her counterclaims and was awarded $2 million.
The former couple later reached a settlement, with Heard agreeing to pay Depp $1 million.
Delevingne said in the interview that the relationship she’s in now “feels like the first time I’ve ever really been in love” and that she wants a family “really badly.”
The model and actress also revealed that she has both been proposed to and popped the question herself. Though she has been engaged before, she said she never wanted a traditional marriage.
“It was engagement that made me feel like they might not leave me,” Delevingne said. “So it was like, ‘Oh, if we’re engaged, that means there’s an extra line they have to go to leave.'”
