Lifetime’s 2026 summer movie slate includes Christina Milian and Sara Paxton
Beginning July 11, 2026, Lifetime is bringing a collection of suspenseful and dramatic thrillers to viewers this summer. The network’s lineup includes five original movies.
The summer slate begins with He Couldn’t Let Go, starring Christina Milian. It follows Mariana as she has a troubling encounter with her co-worker. What starts as a workplace conflict quickly escalates into a terrifying situation when the coworker refuses to let go. The movie is currently available on the cable streaming platform Lifetime Movie Club, but will air on television on July 11.
Next is Crowning at the Prom on July 18, a movie inspired by real events. The story centers on Kat Walker, an ambitious student who dreams of becoming prom queen and securing an athletic scholarship. While working towards her goal, she hides one major secret: she is in the final stages of pregnancy. However, a shocking turn of events forces her and her mother, Abigail, to face the consequences of their actions.
It is followed by Girl in the Coffin on July 25, another real-life-inspired story. It follows Jasmine, a young woman struggling to cope with her mother’s death. She unexpectedly finds comfort in Bill, the funeral director from her mother’s service. Things take a dark turn when Bill kidnaps her and traps her in a coffin beneath his home, believing that they’re soulmates.
On August 1, Lifetime will premiere Killer Clown, which is also based on real-life crime cases. It centers on Elizabeth, played by Sara Paxton, who has spent years haunted by the memory of her mother’s murder by a killer in a clown costume. To identify the killer, she investigates the cold case herself. However, her search puts her in danger when a copycat begins targeting her.
The final film, She Stole My Son’s Heart, arrives August 8. It tells the story of Maria, a woman with a failing heart. When she suddenly disappears, authorities launch an investigation. With time running out, they must find her before tragedy strikes.
