One of Marvel TV‘s fan-favorite stars from its Netflix era has teased a return in Daredevil: Born Again. The next season of the show has been confirmed to include the return of the Defenders.
What MCU hero could return in Daredevil: Born Again?
Jessica Henwick, who played Colleen Wing in Marvel’s Iron Fist, has teased potentially reprising the role in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3. Henwick reprised the role in Marvel’s The Defenders crossover series and was last seen in Iron Fist Season 2.
With the Defenders coming back for Daredevil: Born Again, Henwick says she, too, is open to the idea, and she would like to see her character get a new suit. Speaking to Polygon, Henwick said, “It’s public news that a lot of the cast is going back, and I would love to do it if the story is right. I loved playing Colleen, and I think it would be really cool after nine years to put the suit back on. Maybe a new suit, maybe a cooler suit. It would be a pleasure. We’ll see.”
While Iron Fist got off to a rocky start, it gradually developed a passionate fan base. Fans particularly liked the chemistry between Finn Jones and Jessica Henwick as Danny and Colleen. With Jones returning as Danny Rand in Daredevil, it would make sense to bring back Henwick as his ally once again.
While set photos have spoiled the Defenders’ return in Daredevil, it should be noted that Marvel Studios has yet to officially comment on the matter. It’s equally possible that Henwick will reprise her role in the show, and Marvel could be keeping the news under wraps. Fans will have to wait till next year to see what happens. According to a recent rumor, Marvel may be planning to give Iron Fist a new show, similar to how it did for Daredevil.
