Hulu subscribers can now watch three of Adam Sandler‘s popular comedy movies. Even though these movies received low scores on Rotten Tomatoes, each movie features a memorable performance from Sandler.
What Adam Sandler movies are now on Hulu?
As of today, 1998’s The Waterboy, 2002’s Mr. Deeds, and 2008’s You Don’t Mess with the Zohan are now officially available to stream on Hulu. In The Waterboy, Sandler played Bobby Boucher, a stuttering and socially awkward man who unexpectedly becomes a college football star against her overprotective mother’s wishes. Meanwhile, in Mr. Deeds, Sandler played Longfellow Deeds, a pizza shop owner who suddenly inherits a multi-billion-dollar fortune from a long-lost relative. As for the 2008 movie, he played an IDF soldier who fakes his death to follow his dreams of becoming a hairstylist in the U.S.
The Waterboy was directed by Frank Coraci, with Sandler and Tim Herlihy writing the screenplay. The 1998 film also starred Kathy Bates, Fairuza Balk, Henry Winkler, Kevin Farley, Rob Schneider, and more. The film has a 32% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while its Popcornmeter score is significantly higher at 71%.

When Beaulieu fires Bobby, he takes up the same position for a losing rival team, led by despairing Coach Klein. Mr. Deeds was directed by Steven Brill, with Herlihy writing the script. It was a remake of Frank Capra’s 1936 film, based on Clarence Budington Kelland’s short story Opera Hat. The movie also starred Winona Ryder, Peter Gallagher, Jared Harris, Steve Buscemi, Allen Covert, Erick Avari, John Turturro, J.B. Smoove, and more. It currently has a 23% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
“Longfellow Deeds is a sweet, lovable guy leading a simple but happy life in the tiny hamlet of Mandrake Falls, New Hampshire. Life is good at the small town restaurant until two corporate execs bring news that Deeds is about to be rolling in a different kind of dough,” reads the official synopsis. “A long-lost relative has left him an inheritance of 40 billion dollars along with the largest media company in the world. It’s a fish out of water, rags-to-riches story that has local tabloid reporters salivating.”
You Don’t Mess with the Zohan was directed by Dennis Dugan. The script was written by Sandler, Robert Smigel, and Judd Apatow. The cast also included John Turturro, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Nick Swardson, Lainie Kazan, Rob Schneider, Chris Rock, Mariah Carey, and more. The movie received a Tomatometer score of 37% on Rotten Tomatoes.
