Milan star Christian Pulisic has finally ended his 2026 goal drought, providing a goal and an assist within the opening 20 minutes of the USA’s friendly victory over Senegal late on Sunday evening.
The former Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund star had begun the 2025-26 season in red-hot form, netting four times within his first five appearances of the campaign and was up to eight by the end of December.
However, he went on a dry run of 19 Serie A matches and an additional two international fixtures without a goal as he and his Milan teammates missed out on Champions League qualification in the final weekend of the season.

Pulisic has now ended that barren spell, scoring the second goal in an eventual 3-2 victory for the United States against Senegal in Charlotte, North Carolina as Mauricio Pochettino and his players continue their preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
The 26-year-old managed to round Senegal goalkeeper Mory Diaw and finish into an empty net from the side of the six-yard box. Pulisic had also provided an assist for Sergino Dest’s opener just six minutes in.
