Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 Trailer: Live-Action Netflix Show Returns

Netflix has released the first trailer for Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2. It comes nearly two years after the first season and continues Aang’s story from the hit anime.

“In Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2, Avatar Aang (Gordon Cormier), Katara (Kiawentiio), and Sokka (Ian Ousley) regroup and set off on a mission to convince the elusive Earth King to aid in their battle against the fearsome Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim), which takes them to the impenetrable city of Ba Sing Se,” reads season 2’s synopsis.

“Along the way, Aang convinces Toph (Miyako), an audacious young master, to train him in earthbending, a skill he’ll need to eventually stop the Fire Nation. Unfortunately for Team Avatar, Prince Zuko (Dallas Liu) is still determined to capture Aang — and his formidable sister, Azula (Elizabeth Yu), has also joined the fray.”

What happens in the Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 trailer?

The trailer opens with Aang continuing his battle against the Fire Nation, and while facing the odds, he convinces Toph to teach him Earthbending. Fans will immediately recognise the iconic line, “There is no war in Ba Sing Se,” from the anime heard in the trailer. The trailer also shows live-action recreations of many memorable scenes from the source material. However, it’s not a direct adaptation, as evidenced by the Painted Lady’s appearance in it.

The show has already been renewed for a third and final season, which is expected to conclude the story, similar to the original Nickelodeon series.
