Barcelona want to keep Marcus Rashford but refuse to pay the £26 million buy clause for the Manchester United forward.

After winning La Liga last week, Marcus Rashford said he wants to stay at Barcelona, but discussions over a permanent deal are proving tricky.

Barcelona want to sign Rashford, but they would prefer to arrange a second loan deal – something that United have ruled out.

There have been rumours of Real Madrid’s interest in Rashford now that Jose Mourinho is returning, but it seems United could also have Premier League offers on the table.

Man Utd receive Premier League offer for Marcus Rashford

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, United have “offers” for Marcus Rashford from other clubs, including Aston Villa.

Rashford joined Aston Villa on loan for the second half of the 2024/25 season, but they chose not to trigger a £40 million buy option after they failed to qualify for the Champions League.

But Unai Emery’s side won the Europa League on Wednesday night, meaning Villa will be back in the Champions League in 2026/27.

United are “confident” that other clubs will meet their £26 million asking price for Rashford, and Villa are now equipped financially to pay the transfer fee and cover his wages.
