A brand new Disney+ movie featuring Josh Gad is now streaming on the platform, giving audiences the chance to check out a brand new journey through some of the most majestic places in the world.

Gad is featured in the new Disneynature film Orangutan, which takes viewers into the world of Southeast Asia’s rainforest to meet Indah, “an inquisitive adolescent orangutan learning how to navigate life as she prepares to leave her family and venture out on her own for the first time.”
Gad is featured in the movie as the narrator, guiding audiences through the world. The film is the latest in Disneynature’s line of movies, and their latest since 2025’s Sea Lions of the Galapagos. The studio has produced films dating back to 2008 and traditionally releases nature documentary films. Its biggest release was in 2009’s Earth, which was followed by 2010’s Oceans.
Orangutan is directed by Mark Linfield and co-directed by Vanessa Berlowitz. The movie is produced by Linfield, Berlowitz, and Roy Conli. Alongside the movie, the original soundtrack for Orangutan is available now and includes an original score by composer Nitin Sawhney.
Gad is no stranger to the world of Disney, having starred in a number of projects for the company, including his most recent cameo appearance in Zootopia 2. He’ll also star in the third entry of Frozen that’s in production.
