In a shocking turn of events, this week’s Survivor 50 episode featured not one, but two eliminations. While the elimination rules came as a shock to the contestants, they were quick to determine who they wanted to remove from the game. So, who were the two unfortunate castaways?

What happened on Survivor 50 Episode 8?
On Survivor 50 Episode 8, titled “Double the Fun, Double the Demise,” Chrissy Hofbeck and Benjamin “Coach” Wade were eliminated after receiving the majority of the votes.
The episode centered on the Double Duo twist, in which the tribe was instructed to split into pairs. These pairs would perform together, and if everything went well, they would win the immunity together. But there was also a major problem with this twist: elimination would also be in pairs. This twist from host Jeff Probst raised the stakes, putting the contestants on edge and forcing them to work harder than before.
At the end of the game, Tiffany Ervin and Joe Hunter emerged victorious and earned immunity. Meanwhile, Cirie Fields was on Exile Island, where she had to find a marked coconut among 2,000. After she succeeded in the task, she automatically became immune, plus she also got to vote at the Tribal Council.
Ahead of the eliminations, Chrissy and Coach tried to lay low, avoiding being the target for the night. Unfortunately, things didn’t go in their favor. During the Tribal Council, Coach tried his luck by playing his Shot In The Dark advantage as his last desperate attempt to save himself from elimination. But it didn’t work out.
This paved the way for the remaining pairs to target Coach and Chrissy, who ultimately received five votes. This elimination marked the first time in the US Survivor’s history where two contestants were voted out together.
