The Streets at Southpoint is home to a national hybrid coffee chain’s first North Carolina location.
Capital One Café — yes, it’s a real thing — is now open at the Durham mall.
The new business combines a full-service coffee shop and a bank. Customers can take advantage of free Wi-Fi and an in-store ATM while sipping a latte and munching on a pastry.
Capital One debit and credit card holders get half-priced handcrafted beverages when using their Capital One or Capital One co-branded card.
The coffee shop sources beans from California-based Verve Coffee Roasters and features artwork from North Carolina artists Julia Harmon and Steven Page Prewitt.
Durham’s Capital One Café is located next to Altar’d State, across from Pottery Barn at The Streets at Southpoint, in the former California Pizza Kitchen. Its address is 6910 Fayetteville Road, Suite 154.

The coffee shop joins Starbucks and Nordstrom Cafe Bistro at the Durham mall.
Capital One Café has more than 60 locations spanning 18 states and Washington, D.C.
New stores at The Streets at Southpoint
Several retailers have opened at the Durham mall in recent months.
The Triangle’s first Dick’s House of Sport began welcoming shoppers in October, with local sports legends Grant Hill and Julius Peppers helping kick off the grand opening.
Jewelry brand Gorjana opened at the mall in September. It was the company’s second location in North Carolina. A third store has since debuted at Raleigh’s North Hills.
Southpoint’s Loft store closed this year, with the clothing retailer deciding not to renew its lease in Durham.
