It turns out Meryl Streep and Anna Wintour have a bit more in common than knowing the significance of cerulean blue – they also share a bloodline.
The Oscar-winning actress and former Vogue editor-in-chief are related, according to an analysis of family trees and public records done by DNA testing company Ancestry.
Streep and Wintour are sixth cousins – they share the same fifth-great grandparents, the analysis found.
The two have been famously associated since Streep’s portrayal of rigid fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly in the 2006 film “The Devil Wears Prada.”
Although Priestly is a fictional character, she is widely believed to have been inspired by Wintour. “The Devil Wears Prada 2” is set to be released May 1.
