An 81-year-old minibus driver and his six passengers have been injured in a crash involving three vehicles in Hong Kong, according to police.
The force was alerted to the traffic accident at around 12.30pm on Friday in Sha Tin, involving a KMB bus, a minibus and a private car on Siu Lek Yuen Road near Kwong Sin Street.
“As the vehicles approached the scene, the bus followed the traffic lights and stopped. The minibus allegedly collided with the private car and the bus while attempting to change lanes,” the police said.
Six minibus passengers – one man and five women aged between 14 and 78 – sustained minor injuries and were sent to Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin.
The 81-year-old minibus driver also reported pain in his stomach and knees. He was sent to the same public hospital.
KMB said a minibus and a private car collided, and its bus was involved in the incident. It added that no passengers on the bus were injured.
