Dida Engage Hong Kong & Macau boosts firm’s APAC supply network

Global travel distribution platform Dida staged its Engage Hong Kong & Macau partner event at the M+ Museum on Friday, 20th March.

The event brought together senior leaders from key hotel partners across the region, underscoring Dida’s continued investment in strengthening its APAC supply network, with Hong Kong and Macau serving as critical gateways for China outbound travel.

As one of the most important source markets globally, China continues to drive significant demand across regional travel corridors. Hong Kong and Macau remain uniquely positioned to benefit from this demand due to their proximity, accessibility, and strong appeal to Chinese travellers.

Against this backdrop, Dida is accelerating its efforts to deepen direct partnerships with hotel groups in these markets, enhancing both inventory quality and distribution efficiency.

The Hong Kong engagement is part of Dida’s broader APAC initiative to strengthen regional supply connectivity and enhance collaboration with hotel partners in high-growth markets.

The company plans to continue similar engagements across key destinations, reinforcing its commitment to building a more efficient, data-driven global travel distribution ecosystem.

Where executives meet

The event welcomed general managers, sales and marketing directors, as well as senior commercial leaders from several major hospitality groups operating within the region.

As such, this run of Dida’s signature Engage conferences served as a venue for strategic dialogue, market insights sharing, and collaboration opportunities. Discussions focused on evolving travel demand patterns, the increasing importance of real-time data in demand forecasting, and how closer collaboration between distribution platforms and hotel partners can unlock incremental growth.

According to Dida Holdings chief executive Daryl Lee: “Hong Kong and Macau are strategically important destinations within our global network, particularly given their strong connectivity with China, our largest source market. As travel demand continues to evolve, we see significant opportunities to deepen collaboration with our partners here – not only to drive incremental demand, but to do so more intelligently through AI powered insights that continuously optimise how supply is distributed and monetised.”

Lee added that, at present, his company’s focus centres on building long-term, high-quality supply partnerships that create sustainable value for hotel partners as well as its own distribution ecosystem.

Data-driven in real time

Dida’s approach is built around a data-driven supply flywheel, where demand insights, direct contracting, and intelligent distribution continuously reinforce each other.

By continuously learning from real-time market signals, Dida’s platform dynamically optimises supply allocation, pricing accuracy, and conversion performance across its global network

For his part The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong’s general manager Anas Bencheqroun remarked: “Dida’s insights into evolving travel demand and market intelligence are highly relevant to our business. As the landscape for Chinese outbound travel grows more complex, platforms that can translate real-time data into AI-driven recommendations that directly improve pricing, visibility, and conversion will be critical in helping us capture market share and drive long-term success.”

Indeed, Dida’s diversified global network and strong exposure to intra-Asia travel corridors have contributed to resilient demand performance, even amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainties.

The company continues to expand its direct contracting footprint across key destinations, supported by its growing data capabilities and technology infrastructure.

By leveraging demand insights and market intelligence, the platform aims to help hotel partners anticipate traveller behaviour, dynamically optimise pricing, and continuously improve conversion through insights and automation across distribution channels.
