I simply cannot start my day without a cup of coffee. Having ditched an expensive, complicated espresso maker years ago, I now use my beloved Keurig most days. But recently I found an espresso machine that is both affordable and easy to use. So now I can have café-quality drinks whenever I want them. Bring on all the lattes!

What You Should Know About COWSAR’s Espresso Machine
COWSAR makes a few different kitchen appliances, including nugget ice makers and espresso machines. What stopped me in my tracks, though, is the brand’s $110 espresso machine. Fancy espresso machines can go for hundreds of dollars (the compact one I had before this one cost $250, while my older, more luxe version went for around $600). But this pared-back model is easy to learn, fits well on my counter, and won’t break the bank.

This espresso machine has two espresso options: single shot or double shot. It also has a built-in milk frother on the side, and the top of the machine gets toasty so you can heat up your mug first. Not to mention, it has a spacious 47-ounce water tank — which means you can make about 23 double shots before needing to refill.
This machine usually costs $120, but right now it’s on sale for $110. If you want an espresso machine that’s even cheaper, COWSAR also offers a $100 version.

My Honest Review of COWSAR’s Espresso Machine
I’m lucky to have tried at least four espresso machines at wildly different price points. And while some of the fancier, more expensive machines offer more customization, I personally don’t need all that. In fact, I find it slightly confusing. So a streamlined machine like this is perfect for me and my cramped kitchen. It doesn’t take up a ton of space (even less than my Keurig), and its display is straightforward, so there’s nothing to be confused by.
And, of course, the espresso is delicious: full-bodied with a little crema on top. I like making a double shot and then pouring it over ice with almond milk and a splash of caramel-flavored creamer for some sweetness. It’s so good, I prefer using this machine over my Keurig to make iced coffee. And for me, it’s always iced coffee season.
