The Capricorn Coast is now shining on the international stage, with a new campaign live in the United Kingdom through leading travel company Travelbag.
The campaign marks the first time the Capricorn Coast, Southern Great Barrier Reef has participated in an international campaign independently, showcasing the region as a must-visit destination for UK travellers exploring Queensland.
Supported by Tourism and Events Queensland’s broader Queensland campaign, Capricorn Enterprise has invested in the activity which includes two feature itineraries — including the newly launched Southern Queensland: City, Country & Coast. The itinerary takes travellers on a 10-day journey from Brisbane through the Sunshine Coast before finishing on the Capricorn Coast.
This dedicated campaign builds on last year’s successful Southern Great Barrier Reef joint campaign delivered with Gladstone and Bundaberg, further strengthening the region’s profile in the UK market.
The partnership with Travelbag also reflects the value of industry engagement and first-hand destination experiences. Capricorn Enterprise hosted Travelbag product manager Fiona Woods on a pre-ATE famil in the region last year, giving her the opportunity to experience the Capricorn Coast and Southern Great Barrier Reef first-hand. Travelbag packages and bookings are distributed through ATS Pacific, ensuring the region is easily accessible for UK travellers looking to explore beyond Australia’s major gateway cities.
This campaign provides valuable exposure for the Capricorn Coast to one of Australia’s key long-haul markets and continues to position the region as a standout destination within Queensland’s diverse travel experiences.
