Michael‘s runtime has been revealed for the music biopic about the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, starring Jaafar Jackson.
What is Michael’s runtime?
According to AMC Theatres’ website, Michael’s runtime is 2 hours and 10 minutes. Comparable runtimes to Michael include Bohemian Rhapsody at 2 hours and 14 minutes and Rocketman at 2 hours and 1 minute.
Jaafar Jackson, Michael’s nephew, stars as Michael Jackson, the international pop star who became a global icon.

Highlighting both his life off-stage and some of the most iconic performances from his early solo career, the film gives audiences a front-row seat to Michael Jackson as never before. This is where his story begins.”
Besides Jackson, Michael’s cast includes Nia Long as Katherine Jackson, Laura Harrier as Suzanne de Passe, Juliano Krue Valdi as young Michael Jackson, Miles Teller as John Branca, and Colman Domingo as Joe Jackson.
Antoine Fuqua directs Michael from a screenplay by John Logan. Producers include Branca, Graham King, and John McClain.
Michael was originally scheduled to be in two movies, with part one in April 2025 and part two in November 2025. However, the movie underwent reshoots and implemented significant changes to the third act. The movie has now been condensed into a single movie, with a second part hinging on the success of the first. Michael will reportedly end during his rise in the 1980s.
Lionsgate will release Michael in theaters and IMAX on April 24, 2026.
