Crunchyroll has revealed price increases across all of its subscription plans in the United States. The company confirmed that monthly rates for its Fan, Mega Fan, and Ultimate Fan tiers will increase for both existing and new users. This marks the first U.S. increase for its entry-level plan since 2019.
Subscription prices for Crunchyroll have increased
Crunchyroll has confirmed a new round of price increases for U.S. subscribers, revising costs across all three of its paid membership tiers. The updated rates apply immediately to new customers. Meanwhile, the existing members will begin seeing the higher charges reflected on their bills after March 4, 2026.
Under the revised structure, the Fan Tier now carries a monthly fee of $9.99, an increase from $7.99. The Mega Fan Tier has moved from $11.99 to $13.99 per month, and the Ultimate Fan Tier now costs $17.99 per month instead of $15.99. Alongside the changes, Crunchyroll is promoting a limited-time annual deal for its Fan tier. Subscribers who opt for a one-year payment of $66.99 receive an effective monthly rate of $5.58, subject to additional conditions.
In announcing the changes, Crunchyroll emphasized the scale of its platform. The streamer noted, “Crunchyroll subscribers enjoy the world’s largest dedicated anime library with 50,000+ episodes, 25,000 hours, and 2,000 series and films, alongside music videos, concerts, games, and more.”
The service also highlighted recent and upcoming technical improvements, including teen profiles with PIN controls, multiple user accounts, Skip Intro and Credits tools, and broader device compatibility. Crunchyroll has also expanded into digital publishing through Crunchyroll Manga, an optional add-on service.
Each subscription tier continues to include different benefits. Fan members receive ad-free viewing, full library access, offline downloads on one device, and limited merchandise discounts. Mega Fan subscribers can stream on four devices simultaneously, download content in HD, access the Crunchyroll Game Vault, and receive higher store offers and shipping perks in select regions.
Ultimate Fan members are granted six device streaming, access to hundreds of manga titles in certain markets, and the highest level of merchandise discounts, among other benefits.
