Stranger Things Season 5’s finale is officially out today, and here’s when you can expect the highly anticipated final episode of the massively popular Netflix series to drop on the streaming platform.
When does the Stranger Things finale come out?
Stranger Things Season 5, Episode 8, titled “Chapter Eight: The Rightside Up,” will be available to watch on Netflix at 8 p.m. PT on the streaming platform. The series’ final episode will have a total runtime of 128 minutes, or two hours and eight minutes long.
Alongside Netflix, the Stranger Things finale will also be available to watch in theaters, with the streamer playing the last episode in limited theatrical runs. A trailer for the finale is also available (below).
Stranger Things Season 5 stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, and Brett Gelman. It will also feature the return of Season 4 cast members Jamie Campbell Bower as Vecna/One/Henry Creel and Amybeth McNulty as Vickie. Joining them are Terminator vet Linda Hamilton as Dr. Kay, Nell Fisher as Holly Wheeler, Jake Connelly as Derek Turnbow, and Alex Breaux as Lt. Akers.
“The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding,” reads the Season 5 synopsis. “As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.”
