Family drama or not, the Beckhams are letting loose this holiday season.
Victoria Beckham and her son, Cruz Beckham, got their groove on and paid tribute to Tom Cruise’s iconic scene from the ’80s film “Risky Business” in a video shared on Instagram Monday, Dec. 29.
The festive clip showed Cruz, dressed in a cozy pullover sweater and Santa hat, gyrating to the Bob Seger classic “Old Time Rock and Roll,” mimicking Cruise’s feel-good dance moves as Joel Goodsen in the 1983 teen comedy.
However, Cruz Beckham, 20, isn’t the only entertainer in the family.
The singer and model’s mother Victoria Beckham, a former member of the British pop girl group Spice Girls, also took part in the pop culture homage, shimmying to the Seger track in a chic gray dress.
Still riding the high of their dance fever, Cruz Beckham tagged Cruise himself in the video’s caption to show off their recreation.
The mother-and-son duo’s video collaboration comes less than two weeks after Cruz Beckham addressed recent media speculation about a feud between his parents, Victoria and David Beckham, and his older brother, Brooklyn Beckham.
Since Brooklyn Beckham, 26, married actress Nicola Peltz in April 2022, rumors have circulated about the state of their relationship with the Beckham clan, from scrutiny of the couple’s absence from family functions to alleged tensions with Beckham’s younger brother, Romeo.
In a Dec. 20 post on his Instagram story, Cruz Beckham responded to a Daily Mail article headline that claimed his parents blocked Brooklyn Beckham on social media amid their alleged estrangement.
“NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son. Let’s get the facts right,” Cruz Beckham wrote at the time. “They woke up blocked… as did I.”
Victoria and Cruz Beckham’s dance video receives praise from fans
Victoria and Cruz Beckham’s “Risky” footwork paid off, with several fans taking to the comments section to praise the pair’s dance tribute.
“Honestly, forget about the Kardashians. I want a Beckham reality show,” @ltgfood wrote.
“I just love how ‘normal’ this family is!” @jax.1964 commented. “Got a lot of love for the Beckhams!”
“Cruz, you’re sharing the secret to a great shaken cocktail,” @gavinfarquharson wrote. “10/10, absolutely nailed it.”
