Viewers are curious to know whether The Housemaid includes a mid-, post-, or end-credits scene. Directed by Paul Feig, the psychological thriller follows a young woman with a troubled past who is hired by a wealthy family as their live-in housemaid. Things take a dark turn when she discovers the household’s disturbing secrets. Now, many are eager to know whether there is an additional scene after the credits roll.

Does The Housemaid have a mid- or post-credits scene at the end?
The Housemaid does not feature a mid- or post-credits scene, so viewers can leave the theater once the credits begin to roll.
Typically, filmmakers include a bonus scene to either resolve plot queries or tease a sequel. Since this movie does not feature a credit scene, the story appears to be self-contained. However, as it is based on Freida McFadden’s 2022 novel, there’s still a possibility of future installments, especially considering there are two follow-up books: The Housemaid’s Secret and The Housemaid Is Watching.
During a conversation, Feig revealed what led him to decide to make a film adaptation of McFadden’s novel. He said, “The book’s really good, and it had been on the bestseller list for like a year and a half when I came on. So it was knowing [known], yeah, let’s not mess with it too much. Let’s just make sure we make it as cinematic as we can.”
Further expressing his fascination with women’s stories, he added, “I love telling women’s stories, and I love working with actresses. There are plenty of movies about men, so I’m always looking for great three-dimensional portrayals of women in whatever genre it is.” Moreover, he also loved the idea of including a martini in the installment. He said, “You know it’s one of my movies if there’s a martini in it. Those are my cameos.”
