More information in the shocking deaths of Rob and Michele Reiner has come to light following their son Nick’s arrest for the murder of the pair.
What is the latest information on Rob and Michele Reiner’s deaths?
According to a new statement from the Los Angeles Police Department, Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of Robert and Michele, was arrested, and is currently in custody and being held with no bail.
The statement also mentions the timeline of events following their investigation. At 3:40 p.m. on December 14, LAPD officers were called to an investigation at the home of Rob and Michele, where they discovered both victims.
“Once inside the residence, officers discovered two victims, who were subsequently identified as Robert and Michele Reiner,” the LAPD statement reads.” Robbery Homicide Division, Homicide Special Section (RHD)/HSS) responded to the resident and initiated an investigation regarding the circumstances of their deaths.”
The statement goes on to note that, following an investigation on the scene, it was revealed that Nick was “responsible for their deaths.” A report from Deadline on the matter notes that Reiner will likely be charged for both murders, although the exact charges remain unknown. Should he be charged with double homicide and found guilty, in California, that would carry a sentence of life without parole for Reiner.
“The investigation further revealed that Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of Robert and Michele Reiner, was responsible for their deaths,” the LAPD’s statement continues. “Nick Reiner was located and arrested at approximately 9:15 p.m. He was booked for murder and remains in custody with no bail.”
LAPD officials said that the case will officially be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on December 16, 2025, which will likely include more information on the case.
