Remember Tyler Adams’ fabulous chip from midfield against in a 3-2 defeat to Sunderland on Nov. 29?
While it came in a loss, the goal turned into a winner for the U.S. men’s national team midfielder.
The goal was voted the Premier League’s November Goal of the Month, as he became the first American to win the award since it was introduced in 2016/17 campaign.
On a rainy afternoon at the Stadium of Light, Adams collected a loose ball inside his the visitors’ half, raced across the halfway line and lobbed a shot from the edge of the center circle, some 47 yards out. The ball flew over the head of goalkeeper Robin Roefs, who stumbled into the net after scrambling backward, and into his net stunned.
It gave Bournemouth a 2-0 lead.
It was Adams’ second goal in his four matches, having found the net at Manchester City on Nov. 2.
Adams tallied on a blistering line drive from distance to give the USA the halftime in what turned into a 2-0 triumph over Mexico in the Concacaf Nations League final on March 24, 2024.
He also became the fourth Bournemouth player to receive the honor.
