‘Littles’ go on shopping spree ahead of local Big Brothers Big Sisters Women’s Champagne Brunch fashion show

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A local organization is soon set to bring on the glam, but first it must get the goods!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana took over the Kohl’s Apple Glen location on Sunday for a shopping spree.

The spree is held ahead of the organization’s Women’s Champagne Brunch.

The brunch brings women in the community together to celebrate strong women making a difference and to learn more about Big Brothers Big Sisters.

A staple of the event – its fashion show, which brings the organization’s ‘bigs’ and ‘littles’ on-stage, putting their shopping finds on full display.

“We are super excited. Kohl’s is gifting a thousand-dollar grant to Big Brothers Big Sisters to outfit every single one of our bigs and littles in the fashion show this year,” Shelley Schwab, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana’s Chief Development Officer, said. “They’re gonna be able to take home their holiday outfits this year.”=

The shopping spree was made possible through a $1,000 Kohl’s Cares Shopping Grant.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana’s Women’s Champagne Brunch will be held at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on November 22.
