SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – A local photographer is raising awareness for women battling breast cancer.
Monica Brazier is leading what she calls the celebration of beauty, strength and wisdom.
The 50 and Fabulous Fashion Show is all about celebrating women in their 50s and above. This happened last Thursday at The Bend Lounge.
Last week’s fashion show was the culmination of a nine-month campaign highlighting the vibrancy of middle-aged women.
Brazier talked about the importance of highlighting women’s beauty and raising awareness for breast cancer.
“I hope for an exciting event, this is a chance to celebrate life, have a positive in our community and celebrate a great cause,” Brazier said.
The fashion show raised $300. The proceeds go to a nonprofit organization called The Power of Pretty Girls Wear Pink Inc.
The group supports women who are going through breast cancer and provides awareness as well as help with treatments.
