Forge’s fifth annual Haute Pink Fashion Show on Oct.3 will support Alabama breast cancer patients, survivors and families with fundraising, fashion and celebration.
Held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the event will spotlight the statistic that 1 in 8 women and 1 in 1,000 men in Alabama will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetimes.
This year’s show, presented by Alabama Power and the Alabama Power Foundation, will feature 11 local breast cancer survivors modeling original, custom-designed outfits created specifically for them by 11 Birmingham-area designers.
Tickets are $100 and include two drink tickets, heavy hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and admission to the fashion show. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for exclusive items during the event. Tickets are available online at hautepink.swell.gives.
Funds raised during Haute Pink will benefit Forge’s statewide mission to improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients, survivors, caregivers and loved ones through personalized survivorship plans, mental health services, transportation support, financial assistance, and wellness programming, according to a media release.
Founded in 2016 as a collaborative pilot project by the Women’s Breast Health Fund and four major health systems in central Alabama, Forge became an independent nonprofit in 2020 and now serves patients and families throughout the state.
