From an exhibition that evokes childhood memories to a dining experience starring an overlooked ingredient, here are five things to do in Hong Kong this weekend as we turn the page into 2026.
1. The Beginning of the Moomins
Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the beloved Finnish-Swedish characters, “The Beginning of the Moomins” is an immersive exhibition of adorable characters that evokes childhood nostalgia.
Attendees can purchase a range of exclusive 80th-anniversary merchandise, including limited-edition wooden light boxes, mini bag blind boxes and insulated cups. Each ticket comes with a special Moominhouse postcard that can be mailed on site for free.
Visitors will also be guided through installation highlights, including a light and shadow art experience, Instagram-worthy photo spots and interactive colouring areas.
