Xiaomi (HKG: 1810, OTCMKTS: XIACY) is accelerating its electric vehicle (EV) lineup expansion, with road test spy shots of two new SUVs (sport utility vehicles) surfacing intensively.
Uncamouflaged photos circulating widely on Chinese social media today reveal the Xiaomi YU7 GT’s aggressive aerodynamic design.
The pure-electric SUV appeared in a regulatory catalog from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology last month, indicating a top speed of 300 km/h.
The model is expected to be launched in the first half of this year, with pricing believed to range between 450,000 yuan ($65,610) and 500,000 yuan.
The YU7 GT features a dual-motor system delivering a combined maximum power output of 738 kW (990 horsepower), surpassing the 508 kW (681 horsepower) of the most powerful YU7 variant.
The model is anticipated to achieve a 0-100 km/h acceleration time in about only two seconds, further strengthening Xiaomi’s competitiveness in the high-end performance electric vehicle segment.
Meanwhile, spy photos of Xiaomi’s first extended-range full-size SUV — internally codenamed “Kunlun” and potentially named YU9 — have resurfaced widely today.
Positioned similarly to Li Auto’s (NASDAQ: LI, HKG: 2015) Li L9 and Leapmotor’s (HKG: 9863) D19, this seven-seat extended-range SUV targets the family market, according to a December 30 report by local media outlet 36Kr.
The YU9 will feature a battery pack exceeding 70 kWh, delivering a pure electric range of 400-500 kilometers, the report said.

As a new entrant in China’s EV market, Xiaomi is seeking to sustain its robust sales growth by continuously expanding its product portfolio.
Additionally, Xiaomi EV released an official teaser earlier today promising a “surprise” tomorrow, following yesterday’s leak of spy photos in Spain showing what appears to be an unreleased supercar concept.
Xiaomi EV aims to deliver 550,000 vehicles in 2026, following 411,837 deliveries in 2025.
