Built-in active cooling fans are all the rage in China currently, with a lot of manufacturers coming out with devices featuring one. And now it seems like Xiaomi is working on its very own device with a fan, according to Digital Chat Station on Weibo.
This device will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 SoC, and will have a screen with a “1.5K” resolution and “ultra-high” (though not further detailed) refresh rate. The fan will be part of the camera island, and the entire phone will be IP68 rated for dust and water resistance despite the presence of the fan.

Redmi K80 Ultra
This handset is most likely the upcoming Redmi K90 Ultra, based on the chipset it’s using (the previous K-series Ultras all went with MediaTek’s latest and greatest). If we are indeed talking about the Redmi K90 Ultra, a previous rumor claimed it has a 6.8-inch LTPS OLED display with 165Hz refresh rate, very rounded corners, a metal frame, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and a battery capacity of at least 8,000 mAh.
