Art Central, an annual art fair in Hong Kong that spotlights an emerging generation of Asian artists on the global stage, returns to the iconic Central Harbourfront from today until Sunday, marking its milestone 10th edition.
The latest fair presents an extraordinary convergence of over 100 galleries from Hong Kong, Asia and beyond, featuring the work of over 500 innovative artists who shape contemporary art.
Alongside its long-running program of talks, installations, videos and performance art, the 2025 fair debuts “Legend,” highlighting pioneering and lesser-known artists from earlier generations
New initiatives also include “Duo Projects,” fostering curatorial connectivity between artists in a shared space and a special focus on photography, highlighting photographs and expanding the narrative around the extensive medium.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong will host “The World’s 50 Best Bars 2025” of the global bar scene for the first time, highlighting the city’s pivotal role in global mixology culture.
Building on the triumph of last year’s Asia’s 50 Best Bars awards ceremony in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Tourism Board has once again partnered with 50 Best to host the hall-of-fame awards ceremony. The event will take place on October 8 at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, where the annual list of The World’s 50 Best Bars will be revealed in a live awards ceremony, set against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour.
Highlights will include the Bartenders’ Feast, hosted the evening before the ceremony for those whose bars are featured in this year’s ranking.
The anticipated list of establishments will be unveiled at a grand ceremony on October 8, with red-carpet arrivals and a drinks reception in advance of the live countdown and reveal of The World’s 50 Best Bars 2025.
