With its beautiful waterfront homes and historic Boston brownstones, Massachusetts’ real estate market consistently attracts celebrities.
From the Berkshires all the way to Martha’s Vineyard, many celebrities look to Massachusetts for secondary or summer houses. Today, the state’s celebrity homeowners include Massachusetts-born celebrities like Steve Carrell and James Taylor, as well as big names like Steven Tyler and Zach Bryan, who bought a home in Duxbury just recently in 2024.
Wondering if Massachusetts has claimed or lost any celebrities this year? Here’s a recap of which celebrities bought or sold houses in Massachusetts during 2025.
Stefon Diggs & Cardi B bought Easton mansion

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs and his girlfriend Cardi B reportedly purchased a house in Easton for $2.5 million in December of 2025. Chelsea McLaughlin, real estate agent and owner of RE/MAX Legacy, confirmed the news in a Facebook video touring the home.
The real estate purchase comes just after Diggs and Cardi B welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, in November of 2025. Diggs is currently facing criminal charges for felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault.
Jrue Holiday left Newton

Former Boston Celtics player Jrue Holiday sold his Newton mansion in December of this year, according to Realtor.com. Holiday originally purchased the 8,850 sq. ft. home in May 2024, ahead of his second season with the Celtics. After being traded to the Portland Trail Blazers in July 2025, Holiday put his Newton house on the market in October, officially selling it for $6.69 million on Dec. 22.
Mikayla Nogueira moved to Quincy

Though Mikayla Nogueria was born and raised in East Freetown, the viral content creator now calls Quincy home. According to Realtor.com, Nogueira purchased a $4.35 million home in March of this year, moving there from Boston with her husband Cody Hawken in May. The 9,300 sq. ft. house is complete with 7 bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms.
“We are extremely excited. The house that we bought is our forever home,” Nogueira told her followers on TikTok before she moved, saying that her and Hawken wanted a fresh start following Hawken’s time in rehab. “This is where we want to raise a family and truly build our life together.”
Jim Pallotta sold Boston area home
Former Celtics co-owner and executive board member Jim Pallotta put his vast Weston mansion on the market for $38 million back in May 2025. The mansion is complete with a swimming pool, basketball court, a pizza oven, a fireplace, a sunroom and a private bar area. Realtor.com says Pallotta and his wife felt the 18.7 acre or 21,000 sq. ft. home was too big after their children moved out.
Pallotta’s Boston area mansion has not yet been sold, but the asking price has reportedly been lowered to $31.5 million. Though Pallotta will no longer be a resident of Weston, he plans to keep his house on Nantucket, says Realtor.com.
Whitney Way Thore moved to Salem
In spring 2025, “My Big Fat Fabulous Life” star Whitney Way Thore decided to leave her hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina for Salem, Massachusetts, moving into a two-bedroom, one-bathroom duplex unit by the water. The decision to move was featured in Season 13 of the show, in which Thore explained that she needed a fresh start and loved the charming properties Salem has to offer.
Steve Pagliuca left Boston
Steve Pagliuca, another former co-owner of the Boston Celtics, sold his Back Bay mansion for $11.5 million in December 2025, just four months after he relinquished his ownership of the Celtics in the team’s August 2025 sale. Built in 1890, the five-story brick house spans 5,680 sq. ft., complete with two kitchens, four bedrooms, a roof deck and two fireplaces.
The Pagliucas originally purchased the property for $5.1 million in 2015, selling it because they now live in Florida, according to Realtor.com.
