Manchester United looks to grab an important win on Sunday, as they get set to kick off the day’s English Premier League slate against Leeds United.
Despite a rather ominous start to the season, Manchester United is showing why it is one of the most prominent franchises in sports. The club has managed to grab points in six of its past seven matches, keeping them in the hunt for a top-four spot in the league.
The Red Devils are going to be coming into Sunday’s contest with a little bit of a chip on their shoulder, thanks to picking up a measly point against lowly Wolverhampton last Tuesday. ManU is currently sixth in the EPL, just outside of fifth place, and three points back of Liverpool for the last UEFA Champions League spot.
Leeds is focused on staying away from the relegation conversation. The team looked like it was going to be heading back down to the EFL Championship based on its first few matches. However, the Peacocks have played well enough as of late, going unbeaten in six consecutive matches, including holding defending champion Liverpool to a draw this past Thursday.
Leeds is 16th in the table, seven points ahead of West Ham for 18th.
