Waterspout seen over Victoria Harbour: Observatory

A waterspout over Victoria Harbour was reported on Saturday afternoon, according to the Observatory.

The weather forecaster announced the sighting at around 12.30 pm, where a rapidly rotating water column was spotted at sea near the North Point section of the Island Eastern Corridor.

The weather watchdog warned earlier that an upper-air disturbance is affecting the eastern part of the territory, bringing unsettled weather to the area.

Online footage showed that the waterspout, which spun out of dark clouds and the sea, lasted about two minutes.
