A simple swing ride in India has left the Internet in stitches, thanks to one British tourist’s over-the-top reaction. The short clip, shared by the travel vlogger from England, shows him hopping onto a local Columbus ride, which cost him just Rs 80 (less than $1), only to quickly discover it is not the usual leisurely swing.
As the ride starts, the travel vlogger’s fears become instantly relatable and extremely funny. “I can leave this ride at any time I choose,” he screams, gripping the metal bar with all his might. The ride was a traditional Indian swing ship, which swings passengers high into the air, side to side, without any seat belts or harnesses.
The man’s real-time commentary was absolutely hilarious as he narrates his experience nervously, “Look, when I go up, I’m just holding on with this and my feet.” Then, in a line that has now gone viral, he utters with equal parts fear and humour, “I feel it in my b***s.” He even tells the camera at one point, “I only paid one dollar for this ride, so I don’t know how safe it’s going to be,” and “It’s chaos.”
The video captures the full range of the UK traveller’s reactions. At one point, he even turns to the Indian man sitting beside him and asks, “You feel it in your b***s, man?”, a moment that has viewers laughing uncontrollably.
Stress Like Never Before For UK Man
After the ride stopped, the man took deep breaths while showing his shock and turned to the camera to share that the experience brought him to his highest level of stress. In his words, “I’ve never been through that much stress in my life, guys.” He ends the clip by panning the camera to the ride structure and remarks, “Look at this drop. No safety.”
Internet Divided Over Safety And Fun
Users online are equally split between concern and amusement. One user wrote, “Safety? Bro, your safety is in your hands.” Another commented, “Foreigners in India is my favourite genre of reels!” while someone else joked, “You are trying to meet God for only 1 dollar.”
Since being shared on January 6, the clip has racked up millions of views, further sparking discussions about Indian amusement park rides, safety and just how wildly fun an Rs 80 swing can be.
