What are Zendaya’s red flags when it comes to dating? Well, she recently shed light on this during a recent interview.
The 29-year-old actress shared her thoughts in an Interview Magazine cover story with her “The Drama” co-star, Robert Pattinson.
Their conversation, published Feb. 17, comes ahead of the release of their A24-produced romantic comedy this spring. The movie is about the complex relationship of an engaged couple, Emma (Zendaya) and Charlie (Pattinson), in Boston, according to The Patriot Ledger, part of the USA TODAY Network.
The pair’s union is “put to the test when an unexpected revelation sends their wedding week off the rails,” according to the film’s IMDb page. The twist in the story has been kept under wraps.
During the actor-on-actor interview, Pattinson asked Zendaya, “What is a red flag to you?”
“One that works for us at work is how people treat their crews. I admire people who are kind to everyone, not just the actors, directors, or producers,” the “Challengers” and “Dune” star responded. “A very telling thing is how a crew feels about a particular actor, because they get to see how people are when the cameras are not rolling.”
‘People are layered and complex,’ Zendaya says

In photos from Interview Magazine’s cover story, both Zendaya and Pattinson are seen in smeared clown glam and distressed clothing, with the two actors appearing seemingly twin-like or morphing into one another in some pictures.
In the Q&A, Pattinson continued the conversation about red flags, asking, “Do you believe you can instinctively know someone, or at least have a pretty clear version of who that person is, within seconds of meeting them?”
Zendaya chimed in, “Yes and no? People are layered and complex and they make mistakes. There are cultural differences. But there are also things that are just kind of, ‘Well, that’s rude. That’s mean,'” she explained, adding, “And there’s also the opposite. You can know someone for a long time and they can change, or you get to know them on a deeper level and you’re like, ‘Whoa. I didn’t see that side of you.'”
Zendaya and her “Spider-Man: Homecoming” co-star, Tom Holland, got engaged after the Golden Globes last year, USA TODAY previously reported.
When does ‘The Drama’ come out?
