A Taylor man pulled a knife on a teenager when asked why he had been hanging out at a Moosic property for an extended period, according to a criminal complaint.
Christopher Gierulski, 39, of 748 S. Main St., faces charges of making terroristic threats and simple assault.
According to a criminal complaint:
At about 6 p.m. on Monday, Moosic borough police officers were called to an area behind Terry’s Diner for the report of a man who pulled a knife on a 17-year-old.
The 17-year-old told police he had been working at a hotel behind Terry’s when he noticed a man in a Blue Dodge Dart on the property “all day.”
When the 17-year-old approached the man in the driver’s seat and asked him what he was doing there, the man hurled an expletive at him, showed him a knife and threatened to stab him, before driving away.
The victim took a photo of Gierulski and his vehicle before he left the area.
Officers also spoke with a witnesswho had been working with the victim and confirmed his story.
Gierulski remains at Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $2,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. on July 28 before District Judge Christopher Szewczyk.
