Dua Lipa’s Radical Optimism tour lands in Liverpool on June 24 and 25
Following two huge gigs at Wembley this weekend, global superstar Dua Lipa is now just hours away from taking to the stage at Anfield.
The One Kiss singer will play two nights at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium (24 and 25 June) before playing in Dublin this Friday. With only 5 UK and Ireland dates on the run of the Radical Optimism Tour, there’s been huge demand to see the star live following the release of her third studio album last year.
Radical Optimism shot to number one in 12 countries including the UK when it was released, and became the biggest album debut from a UK female artist in 2024, garnering the highest week one sales from a UK female artist since 2021.
Across Friday and Saturday night, the pop powerhouse performed to over 150,000 fans at London’s Wembley Stadium, bringing out Jamiroquai on Friday night to perform “Virtual Insanity” together, and Charli xcx on Saturday night to perform “360”.
As she brought out Jamiroquai’s Jay Kay, she told the crowd that he was someone who “really inspired” her from “the moment” she started making music.
Charli XCX was also brought out to perform at Wembley, with Dua saying: “So this next song, I thought I’d bring a friend out.
“Let me tell you, she is the biggest brat. Give it up for Charli XCX!”
For the homecoming shows, Dua introduced a series of brand-new custom looks too. Styled by longtime stylist Lorenzo Posocco, her opening outfit – a silver custom Swarovski bodysuit with matching Christian Louboutin boots – dazzled crowds.
She then switched into a white lace Valentino catsuit, followed by a striking black glitter Courreges bodysuit and matching gloves.
For Act Four, she appeared in a sheer blue Balenciaga slip dress topped with a faux fur coat with the UK flag revealed inside, before returning for the encore in her custom black Chanel bodysuit adorned with gold chains.
Tonight’s Anfield show will be the first time the 29-year-old has performed in the city since 2022.
In recent years, the singer has built a strong affinity with the city after performing at the opening ceremony for the 2018 Champions League final between and Real Madrid.
Sharing her excitement ahead of her first show in Liverpool tonight, the singer took to X to share: “I guess joining the circus wasn’t such a bad ideaa.
“ANFIELD NIGHT 1 TONIGHT!!!! LET’S GOOOOOO BABY.”
You can find our full guide to the show here, but ahead of the show, promoters have also confirmed to the Manchester Evening News that tonight’s stage times will be the same as those for her London Wembley shows over the weekend.
It is worth noting though that stage times are always subject to change.
