Sri Lanka (SL) will face Hong Kong (HK) in the 8th match of the Asia Cup 2025 on Monday, September 15, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. It will be the second game for Sri Lanka, while Hong Kong will play their last match. It will be the first time Sri Lanka and Hong Kong will face each other in a T20I match.
Sri Lanka took on Bangladesh in their last match and elected to bowl after winning the toss. Bangladesh finished with 139 runs for the loss of fivse wickets on the board. The Sri Lankan batters took 14.4 overs to reach the target of 140 runs and won the match by six wickets. Pathum Nissanka made 50 runs off 34 delivers, while Kamil Mishara scored an unbeaten 46 runs off 32 deliveries.
Hong Kong faced Bangladesh in their last match and scored 143 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Nizakat Khan made 42 runs off 40 deliveries and was the highest scorer for the team. Bangladesh took 17.4 overs to win the match by seven wickets. Ateeq Iqbal was the most successful bowler for Hong Kong and took two wickets for 14 runs in 3.4 overs.
