WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Sedgwick County Zoo is celebrating the arrival of a new baby!
Tao, the orangutan, gave birth to a healthy baby girl Sunday morning at 8:14 a.m.

The baby’s name is Riang (ree-ANG), which means “bright” or “cheerful.”
“All appears to be going well with both mom and baby, and sister Mulia has been observing Tao respectfully with curiosity about the new little one,” SGZ said on Facebook.
