The Spanish Football Federation have appointed José Luis Munuera Montero as the man in charge of Sunday’s Madrid Derby between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid in La Liga, a decisive game where Los Blancos will need the three points in order to keep competing for the title.
This will be Munuera Montero’s second Madrid Derby, with the first taking place in the 2022-23 season and ending in a 1-2 win for Real Madrid. Rodrygo and Valverde scored for Los Blancos and the match had plenty of intensity and physicality.
