What do we see in the Dune Part 3 trailer?

Following the events of Dune: Part 2, the Dune 3 trailer finds Timothée Chalamet‘s Paul Atreides as the Padishah Emperor. Also returning are Zendaya as Chani, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia Atreides, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, and Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica.

Additionally, Robert Pattinson has joined the cast as Scytale, as has Nakoa-Wolf Momoa as Leto II Atreides and Ida Brooke as Ghanima Atreides.

A description of Herbert’s novel, which was published in 1969, reads, “Dune Messiah continues the story of Paul Atreides, better known—and feared—as the man christened Muad’Dib. As Emperor of the known universe, he possesses more power than a single man was ever meant to wield. Worshipped as a religious icon by the fanatical Fremen, Paul faces the enmity of the political houses he displaced when he assumed the throne—and a conspiracy conducted within his own sphere of influence. And even as House Atreides begins to crumble around him from the machinations of his enemies, the true threat to Paul comes to his lover, Chani, and the unborn heir to his family’s dynasty…”

Dune: Part Three is currently scheduled to be released on December 18, 2026. This is also the day that Avengers: Doomsday is set to come out, so whether or not both films keep that release date remains to be seen.
