Yet another Pakistan explosion made headlines within the stretch of a few days. Several passengers were injured as a blast shook the Peshawar-bound Jaffar Express in the Sindh province near Somarwah, according to railway police officials quoted by PTI.
The militant group called Baloch Republican Guards has since taken responsibility for the explosion on Tuesday, October 7. “Today the freedom fighters of the Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) targeted the Jaffar Express with a remote-controlled IED explosion at Sultan Kot, a location between Shikarpur and Jacobabad,” the group said in a statement.
According to the terrorist group’s account of the incident, the train was struck when “personnel of the occupying Pakistani Army were travelling on board.” The Baloch Republican Guards further claimed that the explosion resulted in the the death and injuries of several soldiers, in addition to the derailment of six train coaches.
