Chase Infiniti spoke about her experience working on One Battle After Another, and she explained what she carried forward into her next project. She discussed her role in The Testaments and also shared what she learned from Leonardo DiCaprio during OBAA’s filming.
Chase Infiniti talks about what she learned from Leonardo DiCaprio
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Chase Infiniti shared how working alongside Leonardo DiCaprio on One Battle After Another shaped her approach. She later used those lessons while taking a central role in The Testaments.
The shift in responsibility brought more focus on how she handled the set. She explained one of the key things she noticed about DiCaprio, and it stayed consistent. Infiniti said, “I think the thing I learned the most from Leo is he’s just such an incredible, gentle leader, and I really admired that. And also his level of professionalism that he has.”
She also pointed out his behavior toward others, and that stood out clearly. She said his “kindness” made an impact, especially given his level of experience. Infiniti described how he treated everyone with respect, and how that influenced her directly.
She said, “Somebody at that level in their career [would] really make an effort to be just a kind human being to everybody on set.” Infiniti identified three main qualities, and she applied them to her own work. “Three things that I really took from him and really tried to bring forward to The Testaments.”
She explained how she used those lessons while working on The Testaments. She said, “Especially, I tried my best to be a leader in any sense. If somebody just needed a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen to anything that was happening, and just also be another opinion in something that might be happening, whether it’s on set or in real life.”
She also described the working environment and how collaboration played a role. She said, “I just really wanted to make myself available to everyone there as much as I possibly could, because I think that One Battle was such an ensemble-heavy project, and this one, I would say, as well, is such an ensemble-heavy project.”
She continued, “And the way that both of those thrived was in community. And so I really wanted to make sure that I could be there for everyone as they were for me.” In The Testaments, Chase Infiniti plays Agnes, with the story set years after The Handmaid’s Tale.
